This four-day in person dry needling course is designed specifically for physiotherapists who have an interest in treating a pelvic health population. We provide a small participant-to-instructor ratio to ensure optimal learning. This course includes lecture-based and practical hands-on curriculum over two immersive weekends. The fundamentals of dry needling will be explored as well as safety and regulatory guidelines. After completion of the course, you will be able to roster with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Participants will learn to dry needle 27 EXTERNAL muscles associated with lumbosacral, hip, and pelvic dysfunction. Multiple case studies (male and female) will be presented to demonstrate how to incorporate DN into your clinical practice and will include conditions such as the hypertonic pelvic floor, pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, peri-menopause, menopause, and incontinence. As well, current research of the effectiveness of dry needling will be presented.
Our instructors bring years of clinical experience in dry needling, pelvic health, acupuncture, and orthopaedics. This course will provide you with the confidence to dry needle specific lumbosacral and lower extremity muscles to help reduce pain and restore function in your patient population. We are passionate about dry needling and we are excited to pass on this knowledge to you!
You will receive a detailed manual with all of the course material as well as images of the needling techniques.
Snacks and lunch will be included.
